After one year at University, Contractor went to an open audition for the production Pericles at the prestigious famous, world-class Stratford Shakespeare Festival [Ontario, Canada and got the lead role. The 92 productions she performed received acclaim from Canadian theater critics. Contractor was offered the opportunity to join Stratford's conservatory, where the top eight men and four females are selected for a course lasting 20 weeks on classical theater which she gladly accepted. Her place was guaranteed for the following series of plays as she was offered the character for the role of Hermia A Midsummer Night's Dream.
